Our approach to providing business development and jobs for Aboriginal people in the Pilbara is manifold.

Fortescue Vocational Training and Employment Centre (VTEC) identifies job opportunities in Fortescue, and with contractors who work with us, and then develops courses using TAFE
and other training organisations to train people in the skills needed.

The strong level of support - and the guarantee of a job at the end of training - is paying dividends.

We will provide training and employment to 300 Aboriginal people over the next two years.

We also help Aboriginal people to establish small businesses so the Pilbara economy and community can diversify and grow.
