Fortescue's vision is to be the lowest cost, most profitable and safest iron ore producer. All Fortescue team members are focused on ensuring the millions of tonnes of iron ore mined, processed, railed and shipped each month are handled safely and efficiently for the benefit of all stakeholders, including our employees, contractors and the communities in which we live and work.
People are the company's greatest asset and Fortescue will empower
staff to make decisions based on the belief that safe production is the
only acceptable standard. Fortescue constantly works to ensure that there is zero harm to all
employees at our operations and to achieve this we have, through the Major
Hazards Program, undertaken an analysis of the hazards identified
throughout the business. The Field Leadership program has been
developed in conjunction with the Major Hazards Program and involves
all members of the workforce in promoting and communicating a
working environment free from adverse outcomes.
Fortescue is also committed to providing a healthy workplace and has recently become the first corporate partner of Act-Belong-Commit.
