Fortescue Metals Group is the world’s fourth largest iron ore producer. Our two mines, a 300km railway network and a deepwater, multi-user port are located in the heart of the Pilbara – the world’s best address for iron ore. In our first three years we produced and exported more than 125 million tonnes of iron ore and we’re not stopping there.
In 2011, Fortescue kicked off a transformative expansion program to triple our production to 155mtpa over the next three years. Our expansion plans involve growth at our port and rail operations, upgrades of our existing mines and the creation of a new mining precinct called the Solomon Hub.
